Entry requirements for travellers from the UK to Spain

Before travel to Spain, everyone travelling by sea or air must fill in and sign an online Health Control Form. Travellers must show the resultant QR code issued to them on arrival to Spanish ports and airports.

The additional documentation to be presented on entry when travelling from the UK to Spain is determined for citizens as follows:

UK citizens

A vaccine certificate as proof of full vaccination issued 14 days prior to arrival must be presented to the Spanish authorities on arrival in Spain. Proof of COVID-19 recovery cannot be used for entry.

EU citizens and residents of Spain

The presentation of alternative documentation to the valid vaccine certificate:

• documentation as proof of undertaking a PCR test within 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain, or
• an antigen test taken within 24 hours of arrival, and tested negative, or
• a medical certificate providing proof of recovery from COVID-19 in the last 6 months prior to travel.

All travellers may also be subject to additional checks at the point of entry including a temperature check, visual health assessment, or testing on arrival.

Children and young people

Children under the age of 12 years old do not need to:

• show proof of being fully vaccinated on entry to Spain
• take diagnostic tests prior to arrival

Travellers from the UK aged 12 to 17 inclusive will be able to enter Spain by presenting documentation certifying that they have undertaken a PCR within 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain. Antigen tests are not accepted.

Alternatively, travellers aged 12 to 17 can still enter Spain with a full vaccination certificate. The Spanish authorities defines someone as being fully vaccinated if they have had two vaccine doses or one dose of a one-dose vaccine.
